Business Hours:

The best bet is to email me at keplingercoins@mchsi.com. I can see and answer email whenever I am in the office, day or evening.

Phone hours: 8am-5pm CST Monday through Saturday, but I am not always in the office. Best times are 8 -10am or 3:30 – 5pm CST. If you leave your name and number I will call back as soon as possible. Calling after 6pm or on Sunday will result in a return call the next morning, or at a time you specify in the message.

Visits: I operate by appointment only. If you are going to be in the Iowa City area let me know by email or phone and we will set the day and time. I will need to know what material you are interested in so I may have it ready for viewing.

    Serious Want Lists Welcomed!

I'M ALWAYS BUYING NICE MATERIAL. WHAT HAVE YOU? I need all scarce date and/or high-grade Swiss coins and medals, even many dates of 1950 and later material in BU/Proof. I also buy nice World Crown type coins of 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries (especially with catalog values in the $50-500 range), and U.S. coins (scarce dates and high-grade types). I will appreciate the opportunity to make offers on collections, accumulations and estates.

Payment: PayPal, Money Order, Personal Check (must clear), MasterCard or VISA accepted.

DISCOUNTS: I offer discounts to reciprocating dealers and discounts for cash payments for substantial retail orders. Some discount is possible with larger PayPal and MC/VISA volume orders, but will not be the same as a discount for cash, personal check, bank draft, etc. due to the fees involved.

Satisfaction is a MUST! I offer a 7-day return for any reason!

    POSTAGE AND INSURANCE

    U.S. ADDRESSES

(Actual costs may vary due to size, weight, etc. of unusual packages)

Insured 1st Class: up to 6 oz:

    Up to $50 value = $4.00

    $51-$100 value = $4.50

    $101-$200 value = $5.50

    $201-$300 value = $7.50

    $301-$400 value = $8.50

    $401-$500 value = $9.50

    Over $500 - Registered recommended = $17.50

Insured Priority Mail – Preferred Method especially for slabs or cased material. Examples (up to 16 oz):

    Value Cost

    $ 50 $ 7.00

    100 7.50

    200 8.50

    300 10.50

    400 11.50

    500 and up 7.50 + $1 per $100 value (Maximum insurance is $5000)

Over about $1500, Registered becomes more economical, but is recently very slow.

Express Insured: Examples (up to 16 oz):

    Value: $1000, cost $23.00

    Value: $5000, cost $35.00

Media Mail: For books, documents. This is slower, depends on weight, but costs less than 1st Class, and can be insured. Usually 5-10 days.

NON-U.S. ADDRESSES (SHIPMENTS ARE ALWAYS AT BUYER’S RISK!*)

Rates sometimes depend on the dimensions of the package or box as well as weight. The best way to determine postage costs is to pick a method from below and let me check the weight and dimensions of the package for a cost.

Customs forms are required for all packages. What the forms say is negotiable.

First Class: This method can also be Registered, but has no delivery time estimate. Typically $2-5 (Registered add $12).

Priority: 6-10 days (not available to all countries). Typically $15-30 depending on size, weight, etc. No insurance available.

Express Insured: 2-4 days (not available to all countries). A typical cost will be in the $30-40 range, depending on country, weight, dimensions, declared value, etc. Insurance limit depends on country. This service is contracted to FedEx by USPS.

NOTE: There is no dependable insurance for international shipment of coins or other items of monetary value. Insuring coins outside the U.S. is practically useless for some countries, and Registration provides no tracking guarantee after it leaves the U.S.

    * I will package your order extremely well and send it however you specify. If you do not receive it, and tracking (if any) shows that it left the U.S., I cannot be responsible and will not reimburse your loss
