The Swiss
mint began producing technical proof coins in 1974. Earlier sets or singles
called
“proof” are actually “first strikes” from new dies, often
called “specimen strikes”.

I can put together year sets for about any year, if the
coins are available. Email me for availability and
a quote. Remember that some coins
for some years are rare, and that not all denominations may have been minted
for a particular year. For example, the 1972 set would consist of only three
coins. The price of a year set will depend entirely on rarity and condition
desired.
In 2002 Swissmint began producing year sets called “Babymünzsatz” intended to be given as gifts to
newborns. These do not include the commemorative coin for the year, but have a
custom birth medal instead. These are issued in hard plastic cases like the
mint and proof sets. Occasionally I acquire one of these sets (2002, 2003, 2004
and beyond as long as they produce them). Contact me if you need one of these.
Book rate postage for books/albums is $2 for orders up to $50 and $4 for orders over $50. If you want insurance, add another $2.
